MLS NEXT Pro announced yesterday the matchups for the opening round of the 2023 MLS NEXT Pro playoffs. As part of the new postseason format, which included a “pick-your-opponent" structure for the first two rounds, No. 7 seeded Houston Dynamo 2 was selected by No. 2 seeded Tacoma Defiance. The two teams will face off on Sunday, October 1 at Starfire Sports Complex Tukwila, Wash. Kickoff is slated for 9 PM and the game will stream live on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.
