Rocky Form

It's no secret that the Dash deserve their last-place standing. Since the league's restart after the summer break, they haven't won a single match, suffering four consecutive losses. The momentum and strong performance they built during the Summer Cup feels like a distant memory, and there are no signs of improvement. With teams vying for playoff spots, they will see the Dash as an easy opportunity for three points.

Injury Bug

The Dash's struggles have also been compounded by a lengthy list of injuries this season. Football is a physical sport, and it's unrealistic to expect players to remain fit or injury-free throughout. The Houston Dash have been beset by injuries, making it difficult to maintain a consistent starting eleven. Despite these challenges, the team will need to perform at their best against a strong Seattle side that is eager to fight for a playoff spot.

New Name, Same Spark

The Seattle Reign, formerly known as OL Reign, have returned to their roots. After the retirement of Megan Rapinoe, there were concerns that the team might lose its spark. Early in the season, it seemed that way, given their poor performance. However, since the summer, they’ve made a turnaround, resembling the Seattle of old. With new players like So-Yun Ji integrating well into the team, their attack has gained momentum and could pose a serious threat to the Dash.
