Houston Dash announce 2024 roster

The Houston Dash have announced their 23 player roster to begin the 2024 season. Houston begins NWSL play on Saturday, on the road against the North Carolina Courage before returning to Shell Energy Stadium for the home opener on March 23 against Racing Louisville.

Houston signed two draft picks for their 2024 NWSL Draft class. Second-round pick Avery Patterson, from the University of North Carolina, has signed a three-year deal with the Dash until 2026. 36th overall pick Amanda West has also signed with Houston, inking a deal through 2024 with a 2025 option.

Draft picks Kiki Van Zanten, Heather Hinz, and Alyssa Bourgeois were not signed. One non-roster invitee to training camp did make the final roster. Defender Croix Soto signed a one-year contract with an option for 2025. Soto played with the Kansas City Current in 2023, making 12 appearances.

Defender Katie Lind is currently away from the team for an excused absence. Forward Ryan Gareis and defender Allysha Chapman are on maternity leave. Forward Paulina Gramaglia remains on loan in Brazil with Red Bull Bragantino.
