Houston Dash at Kansas City Current staff picks

The Houston Dash will try and pull off an upset on the road as they take on the Kansas City Current. We asked our staff for their predictions on tonight’s match.

Rudy - 2-1 Dash loss
(Record: 5-6)

Kansas City is the best team in the league, Houston is not. And while Jane Campbell has been outstanding for the Dash, I believe that the Current will just be better at home. KC has scored 26 goals more than Houston. I expect a loss and more questions for Fran Alonso and Alex Singer to answer.

Dustyn - 3-0 Dash loss
(Record: 8-3)

Kansas City is what the Dash eventually want to be, a high-flying offensive juggernaut. Unfortunately for Houston, they aren’t anywhere close to that yet, failing to score in their last three matches.

Manny - 3-1 Dash loss
(Record: 4-6)

KC is undefeated this season. They have the best attacking threat in the league, and that’s not an understatement. The Dash have improved in their defense but KC’s offense will be too much for Houston to handle.

Joey - 4-0 Dash loss
(Record: 4-6)

Kansas City are the last team you want to face when you’re desperate for points. The Current have been ruthless in just about every game they’ve played season and will not take their foot off the gas no matter the score. Kansas City are just way too talented for the Dash to have much of a chance.

Gribbs - 3-0 Dash loss
(Record: 2-5)

The Dash simply do not have the tools up top to contend with the best team in the league, especially at CPKC Stadium. While Houston has shown improvement in recent weeks on the defensive end, they'll struggle to contain the top goal scoring team in the NWSL.
