The Houston Dash are back at home for a test against the best team in the NWSL this season, the Kansas City Current. We asked our staff to weigh in how the match up between the Dash and Current will go.

Rudy - 1-1 draw
(Record: 4-1)

Kansas City is hot and the Dash are not. Alex Singer has officially opened up about the status of the club, and well, there will likely be growing pains during the rebuild of the Dash. The new player additions will take time to gel together and learn the Fran Alonso way. But, I think defensively they will be solid, but offensively I am not sure yet. I think we see a point split on Cinco de Mayo when Nichelle Prince makes her return to Houston for the first time as a rival.

Manny - 3-1 Dash loss
(Record: 2-3)

The BBQ rivalry comes to town today and Kansas City has the upper hand. The Current have been on form and leading the league in creating chances. It will be an entertaining match with a lot of goals. The Dash are heavy underdogs and it’s unlikely they can contain the KC attack and not leak goals.

Dustyn - 4-0 Dash loss
(Record: 3-2)

Kansas City is scary good. Even without striker Bia, who is out injured, the Current attack can score goals at will. The Dash defense looks to be much improved with Paige Nielsen in the lineup but this club is still in a rebuild but this could get scary, under stormy skies in downtown Houston this afternoon.

Joey - 6-1 Dash loss
(Record 2-2)

Kansas City have scored 20 goals in just six games, while the Dash have conceded the second-most in the league. Temwa Chawinga has become an unstoppable force that the Dash will have very little chance of stopping.

Gribbs - 3-1 Dash loss
(Record: 1-4)

The Dash simply have too many struggles on both ends of the pitch. Their offense hasn't shown up and mistakes on the defensive side will be exploited by a very good KC team.
