“We said during the week that to beat a team as good as Portland, we need to be at our best. I thought we were good for spells of the game. When we started the second half, I felt confident we could get the three points. We had a few good chances at the beginning of the second half, we hit the post. Then we switched off in the throw-in and two passes later we conceded the first goal. At this level, when we make these mistakes, the opposition has too much quality and will punish you.”

“Me gustó la actitud del equipo, lo han dado todo, es lo que les puedes pedir. Pero cuando la organización no es tan buena como fue en el último partido, corremos mucho y cuando corremos mucho hay mucha fatiga. Creo que hemos notado muchísimo el último partido lo intenso que fue, nos costó muchísimo, lo ganamos a última hora pero hoy creo que sobre todo es por esos primeros minutos del segundo tiempo he visto un bajón físico en el equipo. Lo han intentado, pero no llegábamos. Bueno lo positivo para mí, la actitud del equipo. Creo que hemos creado ocasiones contra un equipo muy bueno y bueno eso son los positivos. Hay muchas cosas que mejorar, lo analizaremos, teníamos zonas que queríamos atacar que no hemos atacado y zonas que queríamos recuperar que no hemos recuperado. Hoy la presión fue bastante inefectiva si la comparamos contra la presión de un partido, muy inefectiva. No hemos ganado el balón en áreas que lo teníamos planeado. Bueno eso hay que trabajarlo hay que mejorarlo y esperemos que contra North Carolina lo tendríamos mejor”.
