HOUSTON DASH HEAD COACH FRAN ALONSO
On the game:
“I thought that it was an end-to-end game. It could have gone either way. In the first half, (Louisville) had a little more control and chances. We changed things in the second half and managed to switch play and create more chances. It was an entertaining match, we wanted to win, we took a risk in the back and we were good defensively. We kept attacking until the final whistle and tried to get the three points. In the end, we earned the first point of the season and hopefully the first of many.”
HOUSTON DASH GOALKEEPER JANE CAMPBELL
On the record attendance:
“Super cool to have so many people in the stands. I’ve been here for eight years, and we have grown every year. This club has transitioned on both sides of the organization. The fans deserve entertainment and something to be proud of and the turnouttonight proves that. We are so thankful for everyone that came tonight and all the fans that watched the game on TV. I hope by the end of the season we will be playing a style that everyone wants to watch, whether they have seen us a million times or have never watched us before. I am super thankful for the fans that made it out and I know the team is always hungry to play at home. It was a really cool atmosphere and I hope everyone had a good time.”
HOUSTON DASH DEFENDER SARAH PUNTIGAM
On the game:
“We showed a different face than last weekend. Our intensity was much better. We wanted to get our first win and three points, but we will take the one point and come back next week hungry for more.”
