Amine Bassi and Franco Escobar named to MLS Team of the Matchday

Houston Dynamo forward Amine Bassi and defender Franco Escobar have been named to the MLS Team of the Matchday 7. Bassi scored two goals while Escobar helped the Dynamo earn a third straight clean sheet at home in Saturday’s 3-0 win over the LA Galaxy.

Bassi and Escobar join Héctor Herrera (Matchday 4) and Artur (Matchday 5) as Dynamo players named to the team this season. Bassi became the first player in Major League Soccer history to score a penalty kick in four sonsecutive games. He then scored his second of the game, and fifth of the season to earn Man of the Match honors.

Escobar had two interceptions and won possession 8 times, a team high. The Argentine also won six duels and had four tackles.
