Enemy Scouting Report - Colorado Rapids
The Houston Dynamo have continued their struggles over the last few weeks. The team is currently winless in their last four games and now plays yet another road game. The Dynamo have struggled all season on the road with only five points in eleven games.
While the Dynamo struggle on the road, the Colorado Rapids struggle everywhere. The Rapids have only won three games all season, with only one of those coming at home. Even with the Rapids being a struggling team, no game in MLS is easy. This will be no exception with the high altitude of Denver making their stadium a tough venue to play in. The Dynamo have only managed to win just once in Denver, back in 2019. This also happens to be the last time the Dynamo have beaten the Rapids home or away.
Even while being a last place team currently, the Rapids do have some players to watch out for. Their best player this year has been new signing Connor Ronan, who comes from Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League. Ronan has been one of the most active midfielders in MLS this season, attempting 64 passes per 90 minutes. He is the heartbeat of the team where everything runs through him. Also, it will be important to look out for new signing Andrew Gutman. Gutman just recently debuted for the Rapids against FC Dallas after coming over in a trade with Atlanta United. Gutman has been a standout left back on both sides of the ball for both Atlanta and the Red Bulls the last three seasons. New DP singing Rafael Navarro will not be available for this game.
