HOUSTON DYNAMO HEAD COACH BEN OLSEN

On the game:

“It's a point on the road and it keeps moving us forward. We're a group that's very disappointed right now that we did not get all three points. However, I thought we defended very well for the majority of the night. We can't expect our team to just put-up shutouts on the road when teams are that aggressive. We have to stick the knife in the other way as well. There were plenty of chances to hurt them and see the game out during that second half, but we didn't. When you let a team hang around and they throw on big boys and get extremely aggressive. You can only hold that off for so long. Again, they had a courageous defensive performance and plenty of looks, and I love how the expectations are changing. This is a very tough place to come, in the history of this league, and I thought we had a better game and better chances.  We have to talk, but we are disappointed. We still have some opportunities tonight to get into playoffs. That's still the objective.”

On the changes to the lineup for the game:

“I thought Ethan (Bartlow) was great, he had a really great night. Daniel (Steres) did his job, Luis (Caicedo) was a machine. Ibrahim (Aliyu) also had a good night; he was a handful. Plus, Sebastian (Kowalczyk) had his best game. I was happy he got the assist. Artur, obviously, I was happy for him to get a goal, some good performances tonight. Hopefully, we can get everybody rested and healed up for the weekend. We got in at 3:30 AM this morning, and it was a long journey to get here. It was a seven-hour delay and then more delays on the plane. We finally arrived here in the wee hours of the morning. So, considering all that, to get something out of today was impressive from the guys.”

HOUSTON DYNAMO MIDFIELDER ARTUR

On the game:

"We came here with the right mentality. We started the game well. The first part of the game was really fast. The second half was expected. They needed to win at home. They put some pressure. We defended well overall. It was unlucky for us to concede the goal in the last minute. The team is going in the right direction. I'm happy for my first goal and we just need to keep pushing."

On his goal:

"I saw that we had a good opportunity when Ibrahim (Aliyu) won the ball and created a counterattack. Once I received it, I knew that I needed to shoot. I had the spot where I wanted to finish in mind. I'm glad I could finish it the right way.”

On the mentality of the team after the match:

"We always want more, a point on the road is not enough. We need to keep pushing, of course every game is different. That's how we need to keep our mentality. We always need to keep pushing for more. We had one goal; we got the tie. It still helps us, that point, but the mentality of the team is that we always want to be at our best."
