HOUSTON DYNAMO HEAD COACH BEN OLSEN

On his takeaways from the tournament:

We are on the right path. You have to play really well in these tournaments with a bunch of champions. Overall, our structure and game model are there, and we’re moving in the right direction. We also need to be better in the key moments. We are making a few errors that are costing us, and we need to be more clinical with the final balls. But this is all normal stuff this early in the season.”

On Aliyu Ibrahim:

“For the most part, he played in the isolated role out wide left tonight. I thought he had a great game and a really good tournament. Overall, I think he’s had a great season so far. It’s nice to see him becoming more comfortable with this team after taking some time to adjust.”
