HOUSTON DYNAMO HEAD COACH BEN OLSEN
On the result:
“Over the past two seasons, it is how strong we were on the defensive end that put us in the playoffs. That’s what we have to focus on now until we become a more well-oiled machine and relationships continue to build. The offensive part will continue to grow, but when you look after each other, outwork the opponent and defend the box like we did tonight, that stuff goes a long way. We talked about an emotional and physical response coming out of the last two matches, and we got it tonight. Now we have to go home and put that type of defense performance on again and then add a little bit more to the offensive end.”
On Andrew Tarbell’s performance:
“Andrew (Tarbell) is growing as a player. In every game, he’s getting better and that will continue to be the case with a guy like him. Andrew’s leadership has been important for the group this week, and he is going to be a big plus for us this season.”

HOUSTON DYNAMO GOALKEEPER ANDREW TARBELL
On the result:
“It was a good result for our group, especially as a response to the last two results. We needed that, and we’re happy with the point. We are now ready to get back to work and go again next weekend.”
On why the defensive performance was better this game:
“We had a bit more of a pragmatic mindset going into this game. We played long na little more to the forwards from the back, which relieves some pressure from the backline. We were able to focus on being in a good block and working hard defensively this game.”
