The Houston Dynamo are in San Jose tonight for a midweek match up. We asked our staff for their picks for tonight’s match against the Earthquakes.

Cristian - 3-0 Dynamo win
(Record: 6-15)

The Dynamo play great football. San Jose, not so much. If Ben Olsen’s team don’t go into San Jose with a “this is going to be an easy one” mentality then it should be a great showing by the Dynamo.

Rudy - 2-1 Dynamo win
(Record: 9-11)

This is likely the last match before record breaking transfer Ezequiel Ponce gets into the lineup. It should light a fire in Sebastian Ferreira’s belly, or at least you hope it does. San Jose is by far one of the worst teams in MLS in 2024, therefore Houston needs to take advantage and pick up points here.

Manny - 2-0 Dynamo win
(Record: 6-14)

The Dynamo need to bounce back from the weekend result before Leagues Cup begins. Today, they have a perfect opportunity against the last place team in the league. With a new owner watching, this will be a good opportunity to impress him. It should be a comfortable win, despite being an away game.

Joey - 3-1 Dynamo win
(Record: 8-13)

San Jose can’t seem to win a game this year, whether home or on the road. The Dynamo come into this game with some excellent road form. Hernan Lopez should cause some issues for the Dynamo, but expect this to be a fairly straight forward game against the worst team in MLS

Dustyn - 1-0 Dynamo win
(Record: 6-15)

San Jose has been awful in 2024. There’s no two ways about it. The Dynamo should be winning this game and need the three points as they battle in a very tough Western Conference.

Billy - 2-0 Dynamo win
(Record: 5-15)

San Jose has exactly one win in their last twelve matches, going 1-1-10 while also allowing 34 goals in that time frame. The Earthquakes have been shaky at best, and even with the home-field, the Dynamo should take advantage of the disarray and collect all 3 points.

Gribbs - 3-1 Dynamo win
(Record: 7-8)

San Jose have been easily the leakiest team in MLS when it comes to goals allowed and Houston have been one of the better teams on the road in MLS. This should be a good litmus test to see if the Dynamo can put away an opponent that by all measures they should be able to put away and get 3 points before their trip north of the border this weekend.
