Houston Dynamo vs Charlotte FC staff picks

The Houston Dynamo will look to stay in good form as they return to Shell Energy Stadium tonight. We asked our staff for their predictions in the match against Charlotte FC.

Cristian - 2-2 draw
(Record: 5-13)

These are two good teams that get results as of late. I have a hard time seeing any of them losing anytime soon, therefore a tie seems appropriate. Not a deep explanation, but a tie seems fair for both squads.

Manny - 2-1 Dynamo win
(Record: 5-12)

The Dynamo are in scoring form. They have been more confident in front of goal and are putting their chances away. Charlotte has a good attacking threat and could cause problems but the Dynamo could have enough to close out the game.

Joey - 2-0 Dynamo win
(Record: 6-12)

Both teams have been in excellent form of late, with both going unbeaten in June before this match. Ben Olsen has said the team is putting a lot of work into making teams work harder for goals and putting together wins at home. This week they’ll do both and put in the best performance of the season with an impressive win against Charlotte.

Dustyn - 1-1 draw
(Record: 5-13)

Charlotte come to town in good form after a throttling performance againsy Philadelphia on the road. The Dynamo did that as well in their last game in D.C. so this should be a great match up.

Billy - 2-2 draw
(Record 5-13)

The Dynamo have got a tough fixture this evening with Charlotte having had a solid season thus far, sitting at 5th in the East with 9 wins (32 points). They are also without a loss in 4 straight, including 3 wins (8 goals). Charlotte are certainly firing on all cylinders at this point in the season and it'll take extra focus from the Dynamo to keep them at bay for all 90 minutes. Buckle up, we've got a great match ahead. I believe the Dynamo will find the back of the net but will not be able to keep Charlotte from doing the same in a 2-2 draw in a Saturday night showdown!

Gribbs -1-1 draw
(Record 6-7)

The Dynamo have been rolling lately, having not lost a match since a May 25th away game to the Galaxy and haven't lost at home since an April 20th loss to Austin. Even though they haven't lost since those games, the wins also haven't been coming frequently either. Charlotte are a comparable team in the standings and I think Houston are still finding their rhythm so a draw feels apt. A win could help propel their momentum though, especially following their away win against D.C.
