HOUSTON DYNAMO HEAD COACH BEN OLSEN
On the match:
“We live by the idea of earning the right to play, and we want to play soccer the right way. We want to be brave and earn the win. But we’re still trying to figure ourselves out, and in these types of games, we have to stay in it with more personality. They're a good team, and I think in the end we were outcoached. The loss hurts, but we’ll keep moving forward.”
On Nicolas Lodeiro:
“It was great to see Nico come in with energy, and he’s going to play a big part this year. He's a guy that can come in and give us the right energy at the right time. Of course, we must evaluate who deserves to be on the field from the start, and Nico will continue to be a part of that evolution.”
On what can help the team move forward:
“If we stop shooting ourselves in the foot, we'll be a competitive team. There’s still good in this, and we have a good team. We’re going to get some new additions and figure out what the best version of this group is. It is on me to pinpoint how we can be more competitive to put ourselves in better positions to win.”
