Houston Dynamo vs Inter Miami staff picks

Sunday Night Soccer comes to Houston with the Dynamo taking on Inter Miami. We asked our staff for their predictions on tonight’s match.

Cristian - 2-1 Dynamo loss
(Record: 0-1)

The Dynamo have a team that knows how to move the ball and keep it. The fact is that this is probably the best Dynamo team we have ever seen. Despite all that, the night will come down to the experience of those guys that wear pink nowadays. It will be a tight match, but in the end, the experienced players of Miami (and individual skill) will tip the balance towards the team from south Florida.

Rudy - 1-1 draw
(Record: 0-1)

This prediction is as likely as winning the lottery, it’s a gamble. Houston played well against Dallas despite lineup changes. With Erik Sviatchenko and Franco Escobar possibly starting against Miami, Houston will try to control possession, but I don’t see them keeping a clean sheet..

Joey - 2-1 Dynamo win
(Record: 0-1)

One of the highlights of Ben Olsen’s time as the coach of the Dynamo is his ability to keep stars quiet. Lucho Acosta last week is a good example. With Messi missing the game, that leaves Luis Suarez as the offensive star to put all the focus on. If they can keep the wide players from getting in good service, they shouldn’t have too hard of a time defending this Miami side. Miami have yet to put in a complete defensive performance over 90 minutes leaving the Dynamo in a prime position to score multiple goals in this game.

Dustyn - 2-0 Dynamo loss
(Record: 0-1)

The Dynamo didn’t play badly against Dallas last week, two mistakes did them in, but they also didn’t play great. Miami is clicking with this being their fourth competitive match of 2025 already. Houston will look to control possession to keep Miami’s stars off the ball but all they need is a split second to make magic.

Manny - 3-1 Dynamo loss
(Record 0-1)

Messi and friends are here in Houston. Dynamo didn’t play too badly just mistakes and not taking well their opportunities were highlighted. This will be Messi’s 4th match in real competition and they look miles ahead of the dynamo. The dynamo has a huge mountain to climb to get a result.
