Bayou City Soccer Podcast - Dos a Cero

Welcome to the Bayou City Soccer Podcast! What a night to open Shell Energy Stadium for the 2023 season. Houston Dynamo got the best of Austin FC with a 2-0 win.

Austin started the first part of the match by creating plenty of chances. Steve Clark and the mighty cross bar kept Houston in the match early on. Daniel Steres played another very good game like he did in the preseason against FC Dallas, he is the right back the team needs.

We once again saw Sebastian Ferreira on the bench and Corey Baird getting the start. Coach Ben Olsen mentioned post-match that Baird defends well and his speed makes him a good weapon on the counter. We touch on why Hector Herrera is the best midfielder in the MLS and why Coco struggles as the creative midfielder.

Lastly, the Dynamo will shift their focus to NYCFC, who they will face on Saturday. Houston will likely need to change their scheme since they will be missing players due to international callups.

And much more!
