The Houston Dynamo will look to add to their club-record number of road wins that they set last week in Austin as they travel to the Pacific Northwest to take on the Seattle Sounders. The Dynamo won 1-0 last Saturday in Austin for a club-record 8th road win of the season. Seattle last played on September 18, drawing 2-2 against the San Jose Earthquakes.

Deja Vu

Houston had never won in Austin, until their victory this past weekend. Now they will visit another city they have never won in, Seattle. The Dynamo have gotten points in the state of Washington with a couple of draws against the Sounders, but have never come home with all three. With the team now boasting their best away record of any season in their history, now may just be the team to end another drought.

Who’s Up Top?

Ezequiel Ponce had to leave Saturday’s win with a thigh injury. Head coach Ben Olsen said in his weekly press conference that Ponce was at practice Friday and they would see if he would be able to play a part in Saturday’s match. Ponce is officially listed as questionable on the MLS Availability Report. If Ponce can’t start, will Sebas Ferreira get a shot? With the game 0-0 in Austin and Ponce having to come out, Olsen didn’t bring Ferreira on. Ponce has an impressive run of four goals in the 9 matches he’s played since arriving this summer but, could Ferreira or the false nine experiment be back for one more match?

Mighty Morris

Jordan Morris has long been a player that people around MLS know about. With DP striker Raul Ruidiaz slowing down with injuries and age, Morris has played as an out and out striker this season, and excelled. The American attacker has 13 goals this season in MLS play to go along with 3 assists. DP winger Pedro De la Vega is back from injury and alongside Albert Rusnak and Paul Rothrock (who has turned into a Dynamo killer of late), Seattle boasts a formidable attack.
