Houston Dynamo at Seattle Sounders staff picks

The Dynamo are still searching for win number one of 2025 and they head to Seattle to try and find it. We asked our staff for their predictions on tonight’s match against the Sounders.
Cristian - 3-0 Dynamo loss
(Record: 1-3)
Seattle is coming back home after a couple of losses on the road, and with the support and great atmosphere they will be looking to get back in the win column. The Dynamo, on the other hand, will be down key pieces (more than usual) and with some issues with depth and still looking to gel together, I highly doubt they will leave Lumen Field with any points.
Rudy - 2-1 Dynamo loss
(Record: 0-4)
This game is tricky, as neither team is in top form. The Dynamo are in a rebuilding phase, while the Sounders are dealing with injuries across the squad. A draw might seem fair, especially after Houston’s midweek boost, but Lumen Field has historically been a tough place for the Dynamo, where they rarely come away with points.
Joey - 1-1 draw
(Record: 1-3)
Both teams will be without some important players, so expect a slow ugly game similarly to what we saw against Columbus. It’s hard to see a world where the Dynamo take anything more than a point in this game with Jack McGlynn out of the team.
Dustyn - 4-0 Dynamo loss
(Record: 1-3)
The Dynamo never do well in Seattle and with no McGlynn and a new starting keeper this match has the recipe for a bad loss that sends the fan base into even more of a frenzy. It probably won’t be this bad but something just feels like the cards are all stacked against Houston.
Manny - 3-1 Dynamo loss
(Record 1-3)
Seattle started the season strong but lost momentum due to injuries and a busy schedule. However, they still outperform the Dynamo in several areas compared to Houston's performance this season. The Dynamo are missing key players due to the international window and have yet to secure a win this season. Given their record in Seattle, this game seems highly unlikely to favor the Dynamo.
