Another incredible defensive showing saw the Dynamo earn three more points at Shell Energy Stadium as the Dynamo beat Miami 1-0 on Saturday night. Let’s look at everyone’s performance.

Starters

Steve Clark-9

Another incredible performance from Steve Clark in net. Steve kept his fourth clean sheet of the season, making five saves. Steve also completed 5/8 long balls having an 89% completion percentage.

Daniel Steres-9

Daniel has really made that right back position his own putting in another monster performance. Daniel had three tackles, a block, and an interception to keep Nicolas Stefanelli very quiet all game. He then got forward more than usual, scoring the winning goal. Go ahead and check out our interview with Daniel that is out now!

Ethan Bartlow-6

Not the greatest game from Bartlow as he failed to make a massive impact in the first half. Bartlow improved as the game went on, making two headed blocks in the later stages of the game.

Teenage Hadebe-8

Teenage’s incredible season continues as he held down the back line making two interceptions and four blocks. Teenage is now leading the league in blocks per 90. Teenage also completed 91% of his passes.

Franco Escobar-8

Franco continues to produce incredible defensive numbers at left back, having another team high in tackles with five. Franco now leads the league in tackles per 90 for players with over 200 minutes played. Going forward, Escobar nearly scored a goal of his own if it wasn’t for a great block from DeAndre Yedlin.

Artur-7

Artur continues to be solid, as always, protecting the backline and shutting down the opposition midfield. Artur was excellent at controlling the midfield, completing 94% of his passes. He did have one interception that nearly led to an own goal if it wasn’t for the post.

Hector Herrera-7

Herrera put in another solid shift after missing last week’s game with a suspension. Hector had what was possibly his best defensive performance this season. Hector led the team in touches and in progressive passes with 13. Hector did miss a few chances early in the game with a chance to give the Dynamo the lead.

Coco Carrasquilla-7

This is what is expected at this point for Coco as he was all over the midfield controlling the game. Coco struggled in the final third for most of the game until he found an incredible pass to Corey Baird in the second half to get the winning goal.

Ivan Franco-6

Not a terrible shift from Franco, but it was not anything special from him either. Franco worked very hard for the team, unfortunately he had nothing to show for it offensively.

Corey Baird-7

For the first half, Baird was a bit of a ghost, having a hard time getting on the ball. This all changed in the second half when he switched over to the right wing. On the wing he was much more active on the ball and had an excellent run that was picked out by Coco to assist the winning goal.

Amine Bassi-7

This was another night where Bassi worked very hard for the team, but without the end product everyone is hoping for. Bassi did lead the team in shot creating actions with six and had two shots that did not hit the target. He played very well out of pressure to get Coco the ball to create the winner.

Bench

Sebastian Ferreira-5

Not a horrible outing for Sebas, but he was a bit quiet. Sebas failed to take any shots but did work very hard for the team. He also drew in the defenders well to create space for Steres to score his goal.

Brad Smith and Luis Caicedo-6

It was wonderful to see Brad Smith get back on the field, even in a different position than expected. Both Smith and Caicedo came on with less than ten minutes to go to see out the game. They did that well without really making a mark on the game.

Coach

Ben Olsen-7

Ben put out the lineup that he was expected to put out, so no shocks there. He led the team to a solid performance that gained them all three points. It definitely was an ugly win, but when you are winning like this constantly for now, there is nothing to complain about.
