NWSL Is Back

After the Summer Olympics and the NWSL x LIGAMX Summer Cup, the NWSL season resumes with only ten matchdays remaining before the playoffs. With so much still at stake for securing one of the final playoff spots, the competition will be intense. Although the Dash are currently in 12th place, they are just four points away from 8th and the last playoff position. The second half of the season promises excitement, particularly with the recent announcement of the new CBA, which will impact the league for the rest of this season and beyond.

Positivity in the Squad

Following impressive performances in the Summer Cup against top Liga MX Femenil teams, the Dash have plenty of reasons for optimism in the season's second half. Acting head hoach Ricky Clarke noted in his pre-match press conference for the Orlando match, "everyone likes winning games. When you win games, your confidence grows, and people buy in and get after it more." Although no new players are expected to join the squad during this transfer window, the Dash hope to secure a playoff spot if their current momentum and form continue.

Dangerous Orlando Side

The Orlando Pride have been a formidable force this season. With the addition of Barbara Banda, who is competing for the Golden Boot, the Pride have shown their strength. Supporting her are Brazilian stars Angelina, Adriana Leal, Rafaelle, and the legendary Marta, who is making her final professional appearances before retiring at the end of the year. The Dash will need to perform at their best to challenge Orlando and potentially end their unbeaten streak. It’s a tall order, but one worth pursuing.
