Natalie Jacobs had as much of an impact in-game as she could, starting in 15 matches and averaging a 6.9/10 rating according to Footmob. Obviously player ratings should be taken with a grain of salt, and looking at Nat’s season is a good reason why this is the case. Jacobs had a massive impact off the field, most notably being the inspiration behind the “dino haircut” for girls playing soccer around Houston.

On the field she had some really solid moments, like her goal against the Washington Spirit. She was a really solid compliment with Paige Nielsen and Tarciane and a rock for the younger players to lean on. She had solid performances in what has been one of the poorest and most difficult seasons for the Houston Dash. She helped the Dash earn five clean sheets this season and even captained the team on a few occasions.

Moment of the season

As mentioned above, Jacobs scored against the Washington Spirit in the first minute of the match on April 12. The Dash went on to lose the match but it was a great finish in the box from a defender.

Looking forward

Jacobs recently agreed to a new contract with the Dash that will tie her to H-Town for the next four years. I feel like you’ll see solid performances from her, possibly even taking a step forward if roster improvements allow her to have more support in 2025.
