Houston Dynamo 2 have announced the signings of Isaiah Reid and Omar Grey to MLS NEXT Pro contracts.

“We are excited to add two talented versatile players for the upcoming season,” Dynamo assistant general manager, Nick Kowba said. “Both players have characteristics that will translate well to the professional game. They join us from very successful college programs and we expect their winning mentality and recent success to positively impact our existing group. We look forward to seeing both develop into professionals under the guidance of our technical staff.”

Reid was drafted by the Dynamo with the 34th pick of this year’s MLS SuperDraft. He played collegiately at Clemson University where he scored 14 goals and added 4 assists in 64 appearances for the Tigers. The forward won the 2021 Men’s College Cup with Clemson, scoring both goals in the final.

Grey, 22-years-old, last played collegiately at the University of Washington. He had a goal and two assists in 18 games with the Huskies and helped lead them to the NCAA Tournament. Prior to playing for his hometown University, Grey played at California State University-Northridge. The midfielder made 30 starts in two seasons with the Matadors.
